Chapter 38: The Fire Offering

第38章：火祭

38.1“Now I will explain the fire offering that pacifies human beings. One should dig a square fire pit half a cubit deep and perform seven thousand fire offerings with whatever flowers are available while reciting the mantra oṁ kṣaṃ samasiddhidhapaya hrāṃ svāhā without distraction. One should offer water and make offerings of butter and honey throughout the fire offering. If this does not work, the rites that benefit beings that are explained in all the tantras would be untenable.

38.1「現在我將解釋平息人類的火祭。應當挖掘一個邊長半肘的正方形火坑，在念誦咒語『嗡克桑薩馬悉地達巴雅赫然娑婆訶』的同時，用任何可得到的花朵進行七千次火祭，心無旁騖。應當在整個火祭過程中供奉水、黃油和蜂蜜。如果這樣做都不見效，那麼所有續部中解釋的利益眾生的儀軌就將無法成立。
