84000: Translating the Words of the Buddha is a non-profit organization founded in 2010. The name refers to the 84,000 teachings the Buddha is said to have given.

84000：翻譯佛陀之語，是一個成立於 2010 年的非營利組織。名稱源自佛陀傳授的八萬四千法門。

The translation team at 84000 consists of Buddhist teachers, professional translators, and academic scholars. Their mission is to translate the Kangyur (70,000 pages of Buddha's words) and the Tengyur (162,000 pages of commentaries) from classical Tibetan into modern English within 100 years.
