24.1Then the lord said:

“After the mother and the father unite,

The moon has the nature of the five elements and
月具有五大元素的本質，並
The sun has the nature of the five elements.
日具有五大元素的本質。
Through the meeting of these two,

“A being is born again—
一個眾生又誕生了——
One of the nature of wisdom and means .
智慧與方便的本質之一。
Bones and sinews will be formed from the moon;
骨骼和筋腱將由月形成；
And flesh, and other matter, from the sun.
肉體和其他物質由日而生。
“It becomes a body, which is devoid of self,

And is produced by the beings’ karma.
由眾生的業所產生。
By nature it is like a magical display,

Similar to a city of gandharvas.

“It is the same as a rainbow [F.342.a] and said to be like the moon reflected in water.”
