Introduction
1.1Oṁ, homage to Caṇḍamahāroṣaṇa!
Thus did I hear at one time. Lord Vajrasattva dwelt within the bhaga of the goddess of the Vajra Realm , which is the essence of body, speech, and mind of all tathāgatas. He dwelt there together with many hosts of vajra yogins and yoginīs, namely: White Acala vajra yogin, Yellow Acala vajra yogin, Red Acala vajra yogin, Green Acala vajra yogin, Delusion Vajrī vajra yoginī, Calumny Vajrī vajra yoginī, Passion Vajrī vajra yoginī, and Envy Vajrī vajra yoginī. He dwelt there with trillions of yogins and yoginīs, headed by those just mentioned.
我是這樣聽說的。金剛薩埵主尊住在金剛界女神的蓮花中,這蓮花是一切如來身、語、意的本質。他與眾多金剛瑜伽士和瑜伽女的眷屬住在一起,即:白不動金剛瑜伽士、黃不動金剛瑜伽士、紅不動金剛瑜伽士、綠不動金剛瑜伽士、癡金剛母金剛瑜伽女、誹謗金剛母金剛瑜伽女、貪欲金剛母金剛瑜伽女、以及嫉妒金剛母金剛瑜伽女。他與以上述者為首的千兆瑜伽士和瑜伽女一起住在那裡。
1.2Then Lord Vajrasattva, having entered the absorption of Black Acala, spoke:

“Freed from existence and nonexistence,「解脫於存在與不存在,
Solely devoted to the four joys,唯一專注於四喜樂,
I am naturally without mental elaboration我本性中自然沒有心所造作
And devoid of all mental constructs.且遠離一切心識構造。
“I am endowed with five forms我具備五形
In order to benefit the fools為了利益那些愚癡的人
Who don’t know me as present不認識我就在眼前的那些人
In the body of every man.”在每個男人的身體中。
1.4Then the blessed goddess of the Vajra Realm , having entered the absorption of Hatred Vajrī, said this:

“Inseparable from emptiness and compassion,「與空性和悲心不可分離,
Abiding in pleasure with divine lust,安住於天樂的喜悅之中,
Devoid of all mental constructs am I,我遠離一切心識構造,
Free from mental elaboration and undistracted.遠離心所造作,心念不散亂。
“I am endowed with five forms「我具足五形
In order to benefit those women為了利益那些女性
Who don’t know me as present不認識我的存在的人
In the body of every woman.”在每一位女性的身體中。
1.6The lord Black Acala deeply kissed and firmly embraced Hatred Vajrī, [F.305.a] and said:

“Goddess, goddess! Very enjoyable,「女神,女神!非常喜樂,
Secret and extremely hard to come by,秘密而極其難以獲得,
More essential than the essence, supreme,比精髓更加精髓,至高無上,
Beautifully taught by all the buddhas—由所有的佛陀美妙教導——
“Hear it: I will teach this great tantra,「聽著:我將教授這部偉大的續,
The lord of kings of tantras, the supreme,續之諸王的主宰,至高無上。
For beings’ swift accomplishment.為了令眾生迅速成就。
“This tantra must not be revealed「此續不可顯露
To one who has not seen its maṇḍala.給沒有見過其壇城的人。
Nor should one explain this king of tantras也不應該向進入不同壇城的人說明這位續之王。
To someone who has entered a different maṇḍala.不能向已進入其他壇城的人說明。
“To the one who has entered the maṇḍala of Caṇḍaroṣa,「對於已進入忿怒尊壇城的人,」
Who is abiding in absorption,誰安住於三摩地中,
Who possesses supreme faith and diligence, O fierce goddess,具有最高信心和精進者啊,兇悍的女神。
To him one should explain this tantra.應當為他解釋此續。
“To the one who is devoted to the teacher, compassionate,「對於那位恭敬上師、具有悲心的人,
Wholly engaged in the Mantrayāna,完全投入密咒乘中的人,
And always devoted to Caṇḍamahāroṣaṇa,並且始終皈依大忿怒,
To him should one explain this tantra.應該向他解釋這部續。
“However, should any yogin,然而,如果有任何瑜伽士,
Despite knowing this, corrupted by greed,儘管知道這一點,卻被貪欲所腐蝕,
Explain the supreme tantra of Caṇḍamahāroṣaṇa應該向他解釋大忿怒的至高續。
To someone who has not seen his maṇḍala,向沒有見過他的壇城的人
“He will be seized by severe illnesses,他將被嚴重的疾病所攫取,
Soiled by stool and urine,被糞便和尿液污染,
And experience the suffering of death並經歷死亡的痛苦
“Then, seized by the messengers of Yama,「那時,被閻魔的使者所捉住,
Overpowered by the noose of Time,被時間的繩索所制伏,
To hell will he, the evil one, be led,那個惡人就會被帶往地獄。
Even if he is protected by buddhas.即使他受到佛陀的保護。
“If, after the exhaustion of his karma,「如果在他的業耗盡之後,
Having experienced suffering for a hundred thousand years,經歷了十萬年的痛苦之後,
He attains a human birth,他獲得人的生。
He will be destroyed in that birth by a bolt of lightning.他將在那一生中被閃電摧毀。
“So therefore, a lay vow-holder who knows the path of mantras「因此,懂得咒語之道的在家持誓言者
Should draw a beautiful maṇḍala.應該描繪一個美麗的壇城。
He should cause the disciples—他應該讓弟子們——
Only those previously examined—to enter there,只有那些已經過檢驗的人才應當進入。
“And should then explain this tantra,應當講解這部續。
Difficult to find in the three worlds.在三界中難以尋獲。
Anyone who would explain it to one who hasn’t studied若向未曾學習者宣說此續
Will follow a downward course.將墮落到下去。
“He will suffer inflammation of the mouth,「他將遭受口腔炎症的痛苦,
Even though he may be equal to buddhas.即使他可能與佛陀相等。
Or else, if a disciple without faith或者,如果一個沒有信心的弟子
Listens to the explanation out of a mere desire to know,只是出於想要了解的欲望而聽聞教法說明,
“His head will be split by a thunderbolt,「他的頭將被雷電劈裂,
Without any doubt, during the rainy season.毫無疑問,在雨季期間。
This truth, O goddess,這個真理,啊女神,
I have taught, O beautiful-faced one,我已經教導過,美麗的容貌者,
“In this, the well-guarded在這部受到妥善護持的《大忿怒續》中,又名《獨一英雄》
Caṇḍamahāroṣaṇa tantra called The Sole Hero.” [F.305.b]大忿怒續,名為《獨一英雄》。
1.20This concludes the first chapter, the introduction to the tantra, in the glorious Caṇḍamahāroṣaṇa tantra called “The Sole Hero.”
