31.1Then the Bhagavān said to the youth Candraprabha, “Therefore, young man, bodhisattva mahāsattvas who think, ‘I shall understand the languages of all beings and, knowing their higher or lesser capabilities, I will teach them the Dharma,’ those bodhisattva mahāsattvas should listen to the samādhi, the revealed equality of the nature of all phenomena, learn it, understand it, keep it, recite it to others, promote it, proclaim it, chant it, meditate on it with unadulterated meditation, promulgate it, and make it widely known to others.”
31.1薄伽梵對月光童子說：「因此，年輕人啊，那些菩薩摩訶薩心想『我要了解一切生命的語言，知道他們更高或更低的根性，然後向他們教導佛法』的菩薩摩訶薩，應當聽聞這個三摩地——一切現象本性所呈現的平等性，學習它、理解它、受持它、向他人誦讀它、推廣它、宣說它、諷誦它、以無雜染的禪修冥想它、弘揚它，並將它廣為傳播給他人。」
Thereupon the Bhagavān spoke these verses:
“They who, desiring liberation, possess this stainless samādhi「具足這清淨三摩地，渴望解脫者」
See the countless guides of the past,看見過去無數的導師，
Ask those lords of the world about their previous practice,向那些世界的君主請教他們過去的修行。
And those bodhisattvas dwell in supreme roots of merit. {1}那些菩薩安住於殊勝的福德根。
“They who, desiring liberation, possess this stainless samādhi「擁有這清淨的三摩地，渴望解脫的人們
Obtain the highest happiness of devas and humans, [F.101.b]獲得天神和人類最殊勝的快樂，
Obtain the supreme offerings of devas and humans,獲得天神和人類的殊勝供養。
And obtain the happiness of dhyāna, the supreme, noble happiness. {2}並且獲得禪定的快樂，最高的、殊勝的快樂。
“They who, desiring liberation, possess this stainless samādhi他們渴望解脫，具有這種無垢的三摩地
Do not become thrilled on hearing the highest praises,聽聞最高的讚歎，不要欣喜若狂，
Do not become saddened by being criticized,被譏諷批評時也不會感到悲傷，
And like a mountain are unmoved by the eight worldly concerns. {3}猶如山嶽般，不為八風所動搖。{3}
“They who, desiring liberation, possess this stainless samādhi「那些渴望解脫、具有這清淨三摩地的生命
Speak perfectly pleasantly, with gentle words,用柔和的言語，完全愉悅地說話，
Do not frown, always speak sincerely,不要皺眉，總是真誠地說話，
Have a smiling face, and have been instructed by the guides. {4}面帶微笑，已受導師的教導。{4}
“They who, desiring liberation, possess this stainless samādhi「那些渴望解脫、具有這種清淨三摩地的人們
Are pleasant, good company, have a gentle mind,性格溫和，是良好的伴侶，心地溫柔，
Are always restrained and established in self-discipline,總是克制自己，確立在自我戒律中，
And are very gentle, have pleasing speech, and speak tenderly. {5}而且非常溫和，言辭令人歡喜，說話柔和溫順。{5}
“They who, desiring liberation, possess this stainless samādhi「那些渴望解脫、具備這無垢三摩地的人
Do not quarrel or cause conflict when they speak.說話時不爭執，不引起衝突。
They have freed themselves from all stubbornness and anger他們已經解脫了一切固執和瞋恨。
And are always joyful, pleasant, and gentle. {6}並且時常歡喜、愉悅、溫和。
“They who, desiring liberation, possess this stainless samādhi那些渴望解脫、具有這清淨三摩地的人
Are always wise and are constantly motivated to generosity.常具智慧，並且不斷動機於佈施。
When they see beings in great suffering they give them their food;當他們看到生命遭受巨大的苦時，就將自己的食物佈施給他們；
They delight in giving to others, and not in their own enjoyment. {7}他們樂於佈施給他人，而不樂於自己的享受。
“They who, desiring liberation, possess this stainless samādhi「那些渴望解脫、具足這清淨三摩地的人
Are admired by a hundred thousand devas,受到十萬天神的讚敬，
Are always attended by nāgas, asuras, and yakṣas,常為龍、阿修羅、夜叉所圍繞侍奉。
And are protected by those who dwell in the forest and its environs. {8}並受到住在林中及其周邊地區的眾生所保護。{8}
“They speak with unimpeded words, like the voice of Brahmā,「他們說話暢通無阻，如同梵天的聲音一樣，
Have a voice like the song of a goose, a voice like a kinnara’s song,聲音如同鵝的鳴唱，聲音如同緊那羅的歌聲，
Have the fifty aspects of speech and have a sound that brings joy,具備五十種說話的特質，聲音能帶來喜樂，
And have a resounding voice, a proclaiming voice, a perfect voice. {9}具有洪亮的聲音、宣揚的聲音、完美的聲音。{9}
“Even if someone knew how to reduce"即使某人知道如何將"
All the worlds into their smallest particles,將所有世界都分解為最小的微粒，
They who possess this supreme, stainless samādhi具備這個至高無上、清淨三摩地的人們
Would voice sounds that were even more numerous. {10}會發出更加無數的聲音。{10}
“They who possess this stainless samādhi「具有這純淨的三摩地的人們
Attain the ten powers, and attain the eight and two bhūmis.獲得十力，獲得八地和二地。
The wise ones attain the inconceivable qualities of a buddha, [F.102.a]智慧者證得佛陀不可思議的功德。
Subjugate all māras, and reach the highest enlightenment.” {i}降伏一切魔，到達最高的菩提。
