1.1Homage to all buddhas and bodhisattvas.

1.1頂禮一切佛陀和菩薩。

Thus did I hear at one time. The Blessed One was dwelling on Vulture Peak Mountain, where he was delivering a teaching on correct names to all causal and resultant bodhisattvas. At that time, Śrīdevī Mahākālī approached the Blessed One, circled him three times, and sat to one side in the presence of the Blessed One. [F.210.a] The bodhisattva Virility of a Lion asked the Blessed One, “Blessed One, what are the different names of this bodhisattva who acts for the benefit of the world while adorned as a rākṣasī?”

我是這樣聽聞的。當時世尊住在鷲峰山,正在為所有因地和果地菩薩傳授正確的名號之法。此時,吉祥大黑母來到世尊面前,繞世尊三圈,然後在世尊面前坐到一旁。獅子勇力菩薩問世尊:「世尊,這位為了利益世間而現身羅剎女相的菩薩,有什麼不同的名號呢?」

1.2The Blessed One considered the bodhisattva Virility of a Lion, looked at Śrīdevī Kālī, and said:

“You are identified as the cause, effect, and conditions
「你被認為是因、果與條件」
That are paramount for listening, contemplating, and meditating.
這些是對於聽聞、思考和禪修而言最為殊勝的。
Supreme among the wise, you benefit beings.
至高的智者,你利益眾生。
You are the exalted Śrīdevī Kālī.
你是尊貴的吉祥黑母。
“You are a bodhisattva emanation,
你是菩薩的化身,
A foundation as stable as the earth,
穩定如大地的基礎,
You gather good qualities like water,
你如水一般匯聚善德,
And cause awakening to ripen, like fire.
並使覺悟如火一般成熟。
“You gather virtue like the blowing wind
你如吹拂的風一般匯聚德行
And your insight is pure, like space.
而你的智慧如虛空般清淨。
Thus are you like the great elements,
因此你如同偉大的元素,
Praised by great hosts of beings.
受到眾多大能眾生的讚頌。
“You know the actions and ripenings
你知曉諸行及其果報
For accumulating merit and wisdom.
為了積累福德和智慧。
You know how to tame with your prideful form
您知道如何用自己的威嚴形象來調伏驕慢者。
And travel the path of insight and compassion.
並踏上洞察與慈悲的道路。
“You are like a beautiful vessel
「妳如同一個美麗的容器
With water like a wish-fulfilling jewel.
具有如意寶珠般的水。
You are a wish-fulfilling tree that benefits all
你是一棵滿願樹,造福一切眾生
And have a radiance like the sun.
並具有如太陽般的光輝。
“Your mind shines like the moon,
你的心智如月光般閃耀,
Your name is like the horns of a rabbit,
你的名字就像兔子的角一樣。
Your mental continuum is like a circle,
你的心相續如同圓形,
And you are rare like an udumbara flower.
你像優曇波羅花一樣稀有難得。
“You completely satisfy like amṛta,
你像甘露一樣完全滿足,
Are the ruler of all beings,
是一切眾生的統治者,
Teach that there is no inherent nature,
教導沒有固有的自性。
And are like a storm of water and sky.
如同天空和水的風暴般。
“You use any means to tame disciples in the three existences
你用各種方法在三界中調伏弟子
And protect the teachings of the victors of the three times.
並護持三世勝者的教法。
You are truly one with holy beings
你真正與聖者合為一體
And travel the path of the holy ones.
行走聖者的道路。
“You are a goddess, mātṛkā, yakṣiṇī,
你是女神、母神、藥叉女,
Rākṣasī, nāgī, piśācī,
羅剎女、龍女、毘舍遮女,
Vyāḍā, bhūtā, kumbhāṇḍā,
毘闍女、鬼女、甕形鬼女、
Rudrā, and ravenous vidyutā.
忿怒天女,以及飢渴的閃電女。
“You are a wind goddess, Kālī, Bhairavī,
你是風神女、黑母、怖畏母,
A ḍākinī, Caṇḍālī, and Tārā.
空行母、尊勝母和度母。
You tame through rites of pacifying, enriching, enthralling, and assault,
你透過息災、增益、攝受和誅伏的儀軌而調伏。
And display the colors white, yellow, green, black, and red. [F.210.b]
並展現出白色、黃色、綠色、黑色和紅色。
“You appear in eight different forms,
你以八種不同的形象顯現,
Teach in a way suitable for beings in the six realms,
以適應六道眾生的方式來教導,
Are able to explain the five aggregates,
能夠解釋五蘊,
Satisfy the senses, and teach the five sense objects.
滿足感官,教導五種感對象。
“You understand the workings of dependent origination,
「你懂得緣起的運作,
Are skilled in severing the sense organs,
善於截斷感官器官,
Are similarly skilled in killing all enemies,
同樣地善於摧滅一切敵人,
And strive to kill all embodied beings
並努力殺死所有有形的眾生
While knowing well that the mind is not killed.
雖然深知心識並未被殺死。
“You are far removed from saṃsāra,
你遠離了輪迴,
With the attributes of a bodhisattva,
具足菩薩的特質,
And have been prophesied by the thus-gone ones.
並且已被如來所預言。
Glorious Lady who protects the world,
榮耀的聖母,保護世界者,
You are a friend to those who preserve the holy Dharma.
你是保護聖法者的朋友。
oṁ āḥ hūṁ śrīdevi kāli samayaja­ḍākinīḍāya samaya svāhā
嗡 啊 吽 聖妙天女黑天母 三昧生空行母 空行母啦 三昧 娑婆訶
“Those who grasp these one hundred and eight names
「那些領悟這一百零八個名號的人
Will also attain one hundred and eight qualities.
也將證得一百零八種功德。
They will not experience the suffering of hell,
他們不會經歷地獄的痛苦,
Will not take birth in the preta realm,
不會轉生到餓鬼道中。
And will never be burdened with an animal birth.
並且永遠不會承受畜生的生。
“If they are born in the land of Videha,
「如果他們生在勝身洲,
They will not be struck by lightning and the like,
他們不會遭到雷電等的擊打。
They will not be affected by wind in Uttarakuru,
他們在北俱盧洲不會受到風的影響,
And the rivers and floods in Godānīya
而西牛賀洲的河流和洪水
Will not be able to sweep them away.
將無法把他們沖走。
“Those who are born in Jambudvīpa,
「那些在南贍部洲出生的人,
Will not be threatened by its many dangers.
不會受到其眾多危險的威脅。
When born among the gods of the desire realm,
當生於欲界的諸神之中時,
They will delight in the Dharma.
他們將在法中歡喜。
“For those who are born in the four dhyāna states,
「那些生於四禪定的眾生,
The four immeasurables will increase.
四無量心將會增長。
In the four formless realms
在無色界中
There are no referents and there is no birth,
沒有所指對象,也沒有生。
But still they will not lack perception.
但他們仍然不會缺乏感知。
“In the abodes of the noble ones,
「在聖者的住處,
They will serve their own purpose in the manner of the three realms,

All without attachment to objects as permanent.
全然無執於永恆的對象。
They will not grasp at thought

And will purify the six root afflictions,

The twenty derivative afflictions,

And even the five inexpiable acts.

“They will not be born in the eight unfavorable conditions

For many incalculable eons.
經過無數的劫數。
They will refute the critiques of non-Buddhists
他們將駁斥非佛教徒的批評
And possess exceptional power.
並具有非凡的力量。
“They will have a long life, good health, and good fortune,
「他們將擁有長壽、健康和好運,」
And not experience hardship for many eons. [F.211.a]
並且多個劫不會經歷苦難。
They will never fall in saṃsāra,
他們永遠不會墮入輪迴,
But in order to attain nirvāṇa
但為了證得涅槃
Will traverse the grounds of the śrāvakas
將會經歷聲聞的修行階位
And understand the twelve links of dependent origination.
並理解十二因緣。
“They will traverse the bodhisattva grounds:
他們將經歷菩薩地:
Joyful, Stainless, Illuminating, Radiant,
歡喜地、離垢地、發光地、焰慧地,
Difficult to Conquer, Manifest, Far Reaching,
難勝地、現前地、遠行地,
Unwavering, Eminence, and Cloud of Dharma.
不動地、善慧地和法雲地。
“They will complete the twelve unsurpassed great grounds of a buddha:
「他們將圓滿佛陀的十二個無上大地:
Universal Light, Light of Immortality,
普光地,不死光地,
Light of Space, Vajra Light,
虛空光地、金剛光地
Jeweled Light, Lotus Light,
寶光地、蓮花光地、
Light of Karma, the Incomparable Ground,
業光地、無比地、光明地、智光地
The Glorious Ground, Light of Insight,
光明地、智光地,
Omniscience, and Self-Reflexive Awareness.
一切智地,自覺地。
The twelve buddha grounds
十二佛地
Will be quickly completed as they occur.
將迅速圓滿成就。
“Even when these levels are not yet attained,
「即使這些境界還沒有證得,」
They will benefit beings,
他們將利益眾生,
Come to possess insight and compassion,
獲得智慧與慈悲
And be protected by those who delight in the Dharma.
並受到歡喜於法的眾生所保護。
They will attain siddhi
他們將成就悉地。
And become thus-gone ones born from jewels.
並成為由珍寶所生的如去者。
“Those who bear in mind
「那些銘記在心的人
The one hundred and eight names
吉祥黑母的一百零八個名號
Of the glorious bodhisattva, Śrīdevī Kālī,
吉祥菩薩黑母的
Will attain one hundred and eight qualities.
將獲得一百零八種功德。
They will perfect their body, speech, and mind,
他們將圓滿身、語、意。
And become dharma kings of the three realms.”
並成為三界的法王。

1.28When this was said, Śrīdevī Mahākālī and those in the assembly of bodhisattvas were amazed, and rejoiced and praised the words of the Blessed One.
