The Translation
1.1Homage to the glorious Heruka.
Thus did I hear at one time. The Blessed One was staying on top of Mount Meru together with an inestimable assembly, when the bodhisattva Vajragarbha circled the Blessed One three times, folded his hands, and asked:
我這樣聽說過。薄伽梵當時住在須彌山頂,與難以計數的大眾聚集一起,金剛藏菩薩繞薄伽梵三圈,合掌恭敬,然後請問。
“Compassionate Blessed One, please explain:「慈悲的薄伽梵,請為我解說:」
What does vajra mean, and what is fearsome?金剛是什麼意思,什麼是勐怖的呢?
What does destruction mean, and what about tantra?破壞是什麼意思,密續又是什麼呢?
Please explain what king means.”請解釋「王」是什麼意思。
1.3The Blessed One replied:
“ Vajra has three aspects,「金剛具有三個方面,
That are fearsome to the māra of the afflictive emotions and the others,令魔及煩惱等感到恐懼的,
And destructive to the enemy, the afflictive emotions, and so forth.而且能摧毀敵人、煩惱等等。
These are causal tantra, resultant tantra, and ultimate tantra;這些就是因續、果續和究竟續;
It is these that are taught to be king.”這些就是被教導為最高的。

1.7The Blessed One replied:
“ Vajra has three aspects:「金剛有三個層面:
The true vajra, the symbolic vajra,真實金剛、表示金剛、
And the material vajra.以及物質金剛。
Now, to explain the true vajra:現在,來解說真實金剛:
“It is explained as the true vajra「它被說明為真實金剛
Because it is undivided by dualistic thinking.因為它不被二元思維所分割。
Each of the four initiations are vajras四灌頂中的每一個都是金剛
And are described as ‘the four vajras.’並被描述為「四金剛」。
“The symbolic vajra is of three kinds:「表示金剛有三種:
Three-pronged, five-pronged, and nine-pronged.三叉、五叉和九叉。
The three prongs represent body, speech, and mind;三股代表身、語、意。
The five prongs represent the five wisdoms;五齒金剛代表五智;

“The channels, winds, and drops,「脈、氣和滴,
Connected to the secret initiation, are vajra與秘密灌頂相連的是金剛
Because they crush and destroy因為它們摧毀和毀滅

“Innate joy and the other joys俱生喜樂和其他的喜樂

Attachment, anger, and delusion.貪執、瞋、愚癡。
“The five-pronged vajra symbolizes the five wisdoms五股金剛象徵五智

The five afflictions of pride and the rest.慢等五種煩惱。
“Next, the material vajra「接著,物質金剛」
Is taught to be of four kinds:被教導有四種:
“When sharp and triangular it pierces,當它銳利且三角形時,它能刺穿。
When four sided it purifies,四棱時淨化,
When round, it destroys all that is material,當其為圓形時,它摧毀一切物質的東西。
While one with five angles fulfills desires.而具有五個棱角的金剛則能滿足貪欲。
Such are the material vajras.這就是物質金剛。
“The meaning of tantra is fourfold:「密續的含義有四層:
There are the two tantras, causal and resultant,有兩種密續,因密續和果密續,
And the ultimate tantra that is king.以及作為王者的究竟續。
By gaining mastery over them all,通過對它們全部的掌握,
The tantra of wrong view is eliminated.”邪見的密續被消除了。
1.19The Blessed One finished speaking, and the countless bodhisattvas in the assembly felt joy and devotion, and then rejoiced. After circling the Blessed One to the right three times, they disappeared by using their individual, miraculous powers.
1.19薄伽梵說法圓滿,集會中無數的菩薩心生歡喜和恭敬,皆感到喜悅。他們向薄伽梵右繞三圈之後,各自運用自己的神通力而隱沒消失。
