Chapter 38: Cannot Be Apprehended
第三十八品：不可執取
38.1Then [F.86.b] venerable Subhūti said to the Lord, “Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection of a nonexistent thing.”
38.1爾時尊者須菩提白世尊言：「世尊，此般若波羅蜜多是無物之波羅蜜多。」
“Because space is a nonexistent thing, Subhūti,” replied the Lord.
「須菩提，因為虛空是無，」世尊回答。
38.2“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection of equality,” said Subhūti.
38.2「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是平等的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because all dharmas are equally nonapprehendable, Subhūti,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切法都平等不可執，須菩提，」世尊回答說。
38.3“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection of isolation,” said Subhūti.
38.3「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是遠離的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because of the emptiness that transcends limits,” replied the Lord.
世尊答道：「須菩提，正因為有超越一切邊界的空性。」
38.4“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that cannot be crushed,” said Subhūti.
38.4「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是不能被摧毀的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because all dharmas are unfindable,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切法都是不可得的，」世尊回答。
38.5“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection with no basis,” said Subhūti.
38.5須菩提說：「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是沒有基礎的般若波羅蜜多。」
“Because of not having a name and body,” replied the Lord.
「因為沒有名字和身體，」世尊回答道。
38.6“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection like space,” said Subhūti.
38.6「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是如虛空的般若波羅蜜多。」須菩提說。
“Because the movement of breath in and out is unfindable,” replied the Lord.
「因為進出的呼吸運動是不可得的，」世尊回答。
38.7“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection without language,” said Subhūti.
38.7「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無言說的般若波羅蜜多。」須菩提說。
“Because applied and sustained thought is unfindable,” replied the Lord.
「因為尋伺是無所得的，」世尊回答道。
38.8“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a nameless perfection,” [F.87.a] said Subhūti.
38.8「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無名的般若波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because the feeling, perception, volitional factors, and consciousness aggregates are unfindable,” replied the Lord.
「因為受蘊、想蘊、行蘊、識蘊都不可得，」世尊回答道。
38.9“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that does not go away,” said Subhūti.
38.9「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是不消失的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because all phenomena do not go away,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切法不去也不來，」世尊回答道。
38.10“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is not stolen,” said Subhūti.
38.10「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是不被盜竊的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because all dharmas cannot be seized,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切法不可被奪取，」世尊回答道。
38.11“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that has not come to an end,” said Subhūti.
38.11「世尊，般若波羅蜜多是未曾終結的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because all dharmas have come to an end in extreme purity,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切法在究竟清淨中已經滅盡，」世尊回答。
38.12“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that has no arising,” said Subhūti.
38.12「世尊，此般若波羅蜜多是無生的般若波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because all dharmas do not arise and do not stop,” replied the Lord.
世尊回答說：「因為一切法既不生也不止。」
38.13“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection without a maker,” said Subhūti.
38.13須菩提說：「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無造作者的般若波羅蜜多。」
“Because a maker is unfindable,” replied the Lord.
「因為造作者是不可得的，」世尊回答道。
38.14“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection without a knower,” said Subhūti.
38.14「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是沒有認知者的般若波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because a knower is unfindable,” replied the Lord.
「因為知者是找不到的，」世尊回答。
38.15“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that does not change places,” said Subhūti.
38.15「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是不轉移的般若波羅蜜多。」須菩提說。
“Because death and rebirth are unfindable,” replied the Lord.
「因為死亡和重生是不可得的，」世尊回答道。
38.16“Lord, [F.87.b] this perfection of wisdom is an indestructible perfection,” said Subhūti.
38.16「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是不可摧壞的般若波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because all dharmas are indestructible in their nature, death and rebirth cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切法的本性是不可破壞的，所以死與生無法被執著，」世尊回答道。
38.17“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a dream-like perfection,” said Subhūti.
38.17須菩提說：「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是如夢般的般若波羅蜜多。」
“Because a dream that has been dreamed cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為已經做過的夢無法被執著，」世尊回答。
38.18“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is an echo-like perfection,” said Subhūti.
38.18「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是如回聲的般若波羅蜜多。」須菩提說道。
“Because a sound called out cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「世尊，因為發出的聲音無法被執著。」世尊回答。
38.19“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is an apparition-like perfection,” said Subhūti.
38.19「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是光影般的般若波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because a reflection in a mirror cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為鏡像無法被執著，」世尊回答道。
38.20“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a mirage-like perfection,” said Subhūti.
38.20「世尊，這個般若波羅蜜多是如陽焰般的般若波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because falling water cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為落水無法被執著，」世尊回答。
38.21“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is an illusion-like perfection,” said Subhūti.
38.21「世尊，這個般若波羅蜜多是幻一樣的般若波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because a causal sign cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為相不可執，」世尊回答道。
38.22“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection without confusion,” said Subhūti.
38.22「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無癡的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because the gloom of ignorance cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為無明的黑暗無法執取，」世尊回答。
38.23“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection without defilement,” said Subhūti.
38.23「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無染污的圓滿。」須菩提說道。
“Because defilement cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「世尊，因為染污無法被執著，」世尊回答道。
38.24“Lord, [F.88.a] this perfection of wisdom is a perfection without purification,” said Subhūti.
38.24「世尊，這個般若波羅蜜多是沒有清淨的般若波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because the presence of defilement cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為染污的存在無法被執取，」世尊答道。
38.25“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that does not stand,” said Subhūti.
38.25「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是不住的般若波羅蜜多，」須菩提說道。
“Because all phenomena cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切法不可執著，」世尊答道。
38.26“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that cannot be apprehended,” said Subhūti.
38.26「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無法執著的般若波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because the possible cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為可能之法無法被執著，」世尊回答。
38.27“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection without thought construction,” said Subhūti.
38.27須菩提說：「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是沒有戲論的般若波羅蜜多。」
“Because all thought construction has been destroyed,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切戲論已經毀滅，」世尊回答。
38.28“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection without false projection,” said Subhūti.
38.28「世尊，這個般若波羅蜜多是無虛妄分別的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because all false projection has been destroyed,” replied the Lord.
「世尊，因為一切虛妄分別都已毀滅，」世尊如是回答。
38.29“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is an immovable perfection,” said Subhūti.
38.29「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是不動的圓滿，」須菩提說。
“Because of the establishment of the dharma-constituent,” replied the Lord.
「因為法界的確立，」世尊回答。
38.30“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a detached perfection,” said Subhūti.
38.30「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是離相的般若波羅蜜多。」須菩提說。
“Because it is a full awakening to all dharmas as unmistaken suchness,” replied the Lord.
「因為它對一切法的不誑如性進行了無上正等正覺，」世尊回答道。
38.31“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection without obsession,” [F.88.b] said Subhūti.
38.31「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無癡迷的波羅蜜多。」須菩提說道。
“Because all dharmas are in a state where there is no conceptualization,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切法都處於沒有概念化的狀態，」世尊回答說。
38.32“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a calm perfection,” said Subhūti.
38.32「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是寂靜的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because all dharmas are without causal signs and cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切法都沒有因相，不能被執著，」世尊回答。
38.33“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection without greed,” said Subhūti.
38.33「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無貪的完成。」須菩提說。
“Because the causal sign of greed cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為貪的因相不可執，」世尊回答說。
38.34“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection without hate,” said Subhūti.
38.34「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無瞋的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because hate is not real,” replied the Lord. [B30]
「因為瞋不是真實的，」世尊回答。
38.35“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection without confusion,” said Subhūti.
38.35「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是沒有癡的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because of blowing away the darkness of confusion,” replied the Lord.
「因為吹散了癡的黑暗，」世尊回答道。
38.36“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection without affliction,” said Subhūti.
38.36「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是沒有煩惱的完美，」須菩提說。
“Because it is without false imagination,” replied the Lord.
世尊回答說：「因為它沒有虛妄分別。」
38.37“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection without a being,” said Subhūti.
38.37「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無眾生的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because a being cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為眾生無法被執著，」世尊回答。
38.38“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is not a means of measurement,” said Subhūti.
38.38「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是不作為衡量方法的般若波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because all phenomena do not fully arise,” [F.89.a] replied the Lord.
「因為一切法都不究竟生起，」世尊回答。
38.39“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is not at the two extremes,” said Subhūti.
38.39須菩提說：「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多不在二邊。」
“Because an extreme is unfindable,” replied the Lord.
「因為邊際是不可得的，」世尊回答道。
38.40“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a distinct perfection,” said Subhūti.
38.40「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是不同的完美，」須菩提說。
“Because all phenomena are distinct,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切法都是各別的，」世尊回答道。
38.41“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is an untarnished perfection,” said Subhūti.
38.41「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無垢的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because it has gone beyond the śrāvaka and pratyekabuddha levels,” replied the Lord.
「因為它超越了聲聞和辟支佛地，」世尊回答。
38.42“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that does not conceptualize,” said Subhūti.
38.42「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是不概念化的般若波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because conceptualization cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為概念化不可執。」世尊回答說。
38.43“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection without a measure,” said Subhūti.
38.43須菩提說：「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是沒有量度的般若波羅蜜多。」
“Because the measure of all phenomena cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切法的量度無法執著，」世尊回答說。
38.44“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a space-like perfection,” said Subhūti.
38.44「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是如虛空般的般若波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because all phenomena are without attachment, like space,” replied the Lord.
「世尊，一切法都沒有貪執，如同虛空。」世尊如是答覆。
38.45“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is an impermanent perfection,” said Subhūti.
38.45"世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無常的波羅蜜多，"須菩提說。
“Because there is no destruction of all phenomena,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切法沒有毀滅，」世尊回答。
38.46“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a suffering perfection,” said Subhūti. [F.89.b]
38.46「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是苦的般若波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because all phenomena are not suitable to be clung to,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切法不適合被執著。」世尊回答道。
38.47“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a selfless perfection,” said Subhūti.
38.47「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無我波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because all phenomena are not settled down on,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切法沒有安住之處，」世尊回答說。
38.48“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is emptiness,” said Subhūti.
38.48「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是空的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because an intrinsic nature of all phenomena cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切法的自性無法執取，」世尊回答道。
38.49“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection without a defining mark,” said Subhūti.
38.49「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是沒有相的般若波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because all phenomena have no causal sign,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切法都沒有相，」世尊回答說。
38.50“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is inner emptiness,” said Subhūti.
38.50「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是內空的般若波羅蜜多，」須菩提說道。
“Because all inner phenomena cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切內法不能被執持，」世尊回答。
38.51“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the outer emptiness,” said Subhūti.
38.51「世尊，此般若波羅蜜多是外空的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because all outer phenomena cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切外法無法執著，」世尊回答說。
38.52“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is inner and outer emptiness,” said Subhūti.
38.52「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是內外空的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because all inner and outer phenomena cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切內外現象都不可執著，」世尊回答道。
38.53“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the emptiness of emptiness,” said Subhūti.
38.53「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是空空的般若波羅蜜多，」須菩提說道。
“Because the emptiness of emptiness cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為空空無法執取，」世尊答道。
38.54“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the great emptiness,” [F.90.a] said Subhūti.
38.54「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是大空的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because the great emptiness cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為大空不能被執著，」世尊回答說。
38.55“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the emptiness of ultimate reality,” said Subhūti.
38.55「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是究竟空的般若波羅蜜多，」須菩提說道。
“Because the emptiness of ultimate reality cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為究竟空不可執，」世尊回答。
38.56“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the emptiness of the compounded,” said Subhūti.
38.56「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是有為空的般若波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because the emptiness of the compounded cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為有為空不可執著，」世尊回答。
38.57“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the emptiness of the uncompounded,” said Subhūti.
38.57「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無為空的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because the emptiness of the uncompounded cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為無為空不可執，」世尊回答。
38.58“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the emptiness of what transcends limits,” said Subhūti.
38.58「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無始無終空的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because the emptiness of what transcends limits cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為無始無終空不能被執，」世尊回答道。
38.59“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the emptiness of no beginning and no end,” said Subhūti.
38.59「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無始無終空的波羅蜜多。」須菩提說道。
“Because the emptiness of no beginning and no end cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為無始無終空不可執著，」世尊回答。
38.60“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the emptiness of nonrepudiation,” said Subhūti.
38.60「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無遮空的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because the emptiness of nonrepudiation cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為無遮空不能被執著，」世尊答覆。
38.61“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the emptiness of a basic nature,” said Subhūti.
38.61「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是自性空的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because compounded and uncompounded dharmas [F.90.b] cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為有為法和無為法不能被執著，」世尊回答說。
38.62“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the emptiness of all dharmas,” said Subhūti.
38.62「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是一切法空的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because the emptiness of all dharmas cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切法空無法被執著，」世尊回答。
38.63“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the emptiness of its own mark,” said Subhūti.
38.63須菩提說：「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是自相空的般若波羅蜜多。」
“Because the emptiness of its own mark cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「世尊，正因為自相空無法被執著，」世尊回答。
38.64“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the emptiness of not apprehending,” said Subhūti.
38.64「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無所得空的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
38.65“Because the emptiness of not apprehending cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
38.65「因為無所得空無法被執著，」世尊回答。
38.66“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the emptiness of a nonexistent thing,” said Subhūti.
38.66「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無物空的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because the emptiness of a nonexistent thing cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為無物空不可執著，」世尊答道。
38.67“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the emptiness of an intrinsic nature,” said Subhūti.
38.67「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是自性空的圓滿，」須菩提說。
“Because the emptiness of an intrinsic nature cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為自性空無法被執著，」世尊回答。
38.68“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the emptiness that is the nonexistence of an intrinsic nature,” said Subhūti.
38.68「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無性空的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because the emptiness that is the nonexistence of an intrinsic nature cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為無自性空不可執著，」世尊回答道。
38.69“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the applications of mindfulness,” said Subhūti.
38.69「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是念處的般若波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because body, feeling, mind, and dharmas cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord. [F.91.a]
「因為身、受、心、法都無法被執著，」世尊回答道。
38.70“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the right efforts,” said Subhūti.
38.70「世尊，般若波羅蜜多這樣的波羅蜜多是正精進的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because wholesome and unwholesome dharmas cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「世尊，善法和不善法無法被執著，」世尊回答道。
38.71“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the legs of miraculous power,” said Subhūti.
38.71「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是神足的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because the four legs of miraculous power cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為四神足不可執著，」世尊答道。
38.72“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the faculties,” said Subhūti.
38.72「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是根的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because the five faculties cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為五根不可執，」世尊回答。
38.73“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the powers,” said Subhūti.
38.73「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是一個圓滿，就是五力，」須菩提說。
“Because the five powers cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為五力不可執著，」世尊回答。
38.74“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the limbs of awakening,” said Subhūti.
38.74「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是覺支的波羅蜜多。」須菩提說。
“Because the seven limbs of awakening cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為七覺支無法被執著，」世尊回答道。
38.75“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the path,” said Subhūti.
38.75「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是道的完美境界。」須菩提說。
“Because the eightfold path cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為八正道不可執著，」世尊回答。
38.76“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is emptiness,” said Subhūti.
38.76「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是空的圓滿，」須菩提說。
“Because distortion cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為顛倒不可執，」世尊回答說。
38.77“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is signlessness,” said Subhūti.
38.77「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無相的完美，」須菩提說。
“Because conceptualization cannot be apprehended,” [F.91.b] replied the Lord.
「因為概念化無法被執取，」世尊答道。
38.78“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is wishlessness,” said Subhūti.
38.78「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無願的圓滿，」須菩提說。
“Because a wish cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為願無法被執，」世尊答道。
38.79“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is deliverance,” said Subhūti.
38.79「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是解脫的完美境界，」須菩提說。
“Because the eight deliverances cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.

38.80“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is absorption,” said Subhūti.
38.80「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是等持的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because the nine serial absorptions cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為九次第定無法被執著，」世尊回答道。
38.81“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the noble truth,” said Subhūti.
38.81「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是聖諦的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because suffering, origination, cessation, and path cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為苦、集、滅、道不可執著，」世尊答道。
38.82“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is giving,” said Subhūti.
38.82須菩提說：「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是佈施的波羅蜜多。」
“Because miserliness cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為慳貪無法執著，」世尊回答道。
38.83“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is morality,” said Subhūti.
38.83「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是戒的波羅蜜多。」須菩提說。
“Because immorality cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「世尊，不戒不可執故。」世尊答曰。
38.84“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is patience,” said Subhūti.
38.84「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是忍辱的圓滿。」須菩提說。
“Because malice cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為恨無法執取，」世尊回答。
38.85“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is perseverance,” [F.92.a] said Subhūti.
38.85「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是精進的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because laziness cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為懶不可執，」世尊答道。
38.86“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is concentration,” said Subhūti.
38.86「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是禪定波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because distraction cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為掉舉不可執，」世尊回答說。
38.87“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is wisdom,” said Subhūti.
38.87「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是慧的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because intellectual confusion cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為癡無法被執著，」世尊回答。
38.88“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the ten powers,” said Subhūti.
38.88「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是十力的圓滿。」須菩提說。
“Because all the aspects of all dharmas cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
「因為一切法的一切相都不可執著，」世尊回答道。
38.89“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is fearlessness,” said Subhūti.
38.89「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是無畏的波羅蜜多。」須菩提說。
“Because the knowledge of path aspects cannot be apprehended,” replied the Lord.
"因為道相智無法被執著，"世尊回答。
38.90“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is detailed and thorough knowledge,” said Subhūti.
38.90「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是四無所畏的圓滿，」須菩提說。
“Because knowledge is totally unattached and unimpeded,” replied the Lord.
「因為智慧是完全無所執著且無所阻礙的，」世尊回答。
38.91“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is great compassion,” said Subhūti.
38.91「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是大悲的完善，」須菩提說。
“Because it does not forsake all beings,” replied the Lord.
「因為它不捨棄一切眾生，」世尊回答說。
38.92“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is the distinct attributes of a buddha,” said Subhūti.
38.92「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是佛的十八不共法的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because it has gone beyond all śrāvaka and pratyekabuddha attributes,” [F.92.b] replied the Lord.
「因為它已經超越了一切聲聞和辟支佛的特性，」世尊回答道。
38.93“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is suchness,” said Subhūti.
38.93「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是如性的波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because it is the suchness of all that has been said,” replied the Lord.
「因為它是一切所說法的如性。」世尊回答道。
38.94“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is self-originated,” said Subhūti.
38.94「世尊，這個般若波羅蜜多是自生的完滿，」須菩提說。
“Because it is in control of all dharmas,” replied the Lord.
「因為它掌控一切法。」世尊答道。
38.95“Lord, this perfection of wisdom is a perfection that is buddha,” said Subhūti.
38.95「世尊，這般若波羅蜜多是佛的般若波羅蜜多，」須菩提說。
“Because it has fully awakened to all aspects of all phenomena,” replied the Lord.
「因為它已經對一切法的一切方面都圓滿地證悟了，」世尊回答道。
38.96This was the thirty-eighth chapter, “Cannot Be Apprehended,” of “The Perfection of Wisdom in Eighteen Thousand Lines.”
