敬禮三寶。
Homage to the Three Jewels.
頂禮三寶。
Homage to him who severed the bonds,
敬禮於斷除諸結縛者，
Destroyed the whole host of tīrthikas,
摧滅一切外道眾。
Vanquished the armies of Māra,
降伏了魔的軍隊，
And thus discovered this awakening.
並由此成就了這般覺悟。
To begin with, it is hard to renounce a householder’s concerns and go forth.
首先，放棄在家者的牽掛而出家是困難的。
Having gone forth, it is hard to find happiness in wandering.
已出家後，在遊行中找到快樂是困難的。
It is hard to do well what one pledged to with delight.
難以圓滿完成自己欣喜承諾的事。
It is hard for a skilled wearer of the ochre robes to fail.
具足穿著赤黃色袈裟的熟練者是難以墮落的。
